CeraVe Skin Care Products
Ask a Question
Looking for some advice please. Earlier I posted a deal on CeraVe foaming cleanser and it reached 110 likes. I’ve never used their products, does anyone have experience of using their moisturising products. My hands feel constantly dehydrated, regardless if I use hand cream or not. I’m really hoping someone can recommend a product in their range to try, through their own experience.
SecretDelights CeraVe is a lovely range full stop. They have lots of gentle but effective products. I love their cleansers and there are various types depending on the type of skin you have. They do moisturisers and serums too but I’ve not tried them......yet.
The only thing I would say is that if you expect a gorgeous fragrance then you might be disappointed. They are a bit joyless on the scent.
Can’t really advise re: their skincare for hands. But you won’t go wrong with their products.
HappyTravels thank you so much for taking the time to let me know about your personal experience. No fragrance is right up my street, not to keen on overly scented products.
SecretDelights there is a salicylic acid (SA) cleanser which is good if you have spots/teenage skin. I rotate between 2 or 3 different versions of CeraVe’s cleansers including the SA version but the one I always go back to is the hydrating cleanser. My skin loves it but I miss a nice fragrance
HappyTravels just gone on to Boots website and they have 20% reduction on all CeraVe products they stock.
I use Cera Vu moisturiser and it has been fab. I would recommend the brand.
The one I am using is great for Autumn/Winter as it is a bit heavier on the skin. You may want to swap to a lighter moisturiser in Spring/Summer. Although, I must admit, I am still using my Cera Vu.
I started using the CeraVe hydrating cleanser last year after my skin dried badly. (probably caused through wearing masks and central heating Used as a facial wash, it's definitely put my skin back on track. I've tried a couple of other products in the range and can recommend the reparative hand cream.
Thank you everyone for being so helpful, I have ordered some products yesterday from Boots, really looking forward to them arriving. sunny101 I have bought the hand cream, as it was available on Boots website.
SecretDelights how are you finding the hand cream? I’ve never tried it so it’d be interesting to see if you notice any difference yet.
HappyTravels have to be honest and say not noticing much difference yet. I have MS and I'm not sure if this contributes to the dryness. I did buy the moisturising lotion and it's very good, not greasy at all. I use the foaming cleanser at night and the SA smoothing cleanser in the shower. They volumes they are offer for the price, is very good value for money.
SecretDelights CeraVe is so gentle, perhaps it will very slowly improve the dryness of your skin? I’ve yet to try their new foam cleanser as their bottles last for ages and I’m still working through a different one I got for Christmas
Not sure if you’ve tried the Aveeno range or Weleda Skin Food (dark green one). I have some friends that love Aveeno. I don’t particularly like Weleda (I find the smell and texture a bit eugh!) but if I use it overnight, my hands are nourished and super soft the next day. Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream skin protectant is amazing too (not their hand cream, as that is just ok).
HappyTravels thank you for the tips, I have seen Aveeno products are readily available locally in the shops, so I may give them a try to. Can't hurt!
CeraVe is an amazing brand and I really do recommend you try it! Ive been using their cleansers and moisturisers for a long time
