Chase Reportedly Increasing the Fee for Qualify for Cashback from £500 to £1500

Other

Multiple users on the Chase Community have posted comments saying their Chase bank account has increased the Qualify for Cashback that used to be £500 to £1500. And it's only 1% cashback limited to £15pm.

As for me, it's still showing £500p/m, but Chase is really lacking in many aspects and there's not even a dark mode.

Chase will surely lose customers with this attitude.

Thanks for sharing. I can’t see on my account if it’s still £500/pm or not. My offer ends in May anyway so I’ll be looking for a new offer.

Btw - The link you provided requires a log in so most people won’t be able to view it.

snoogans888 The cashback is at the bottom.

News to me they're bumping to £1500p/m while they don't make any improvements whatsoever. I did agree to meet with the Chase Community later this month on how it can be improved (survey of sorts), but that website says it all.

The good thing is that they give £175 Amazon voucher if invited.

The offer has been 1% limited to £15 a month for a long time so this isn't new, first year isn't limited but after that has been up to £15 a month for at least a few years. It's a bit of a shame that they're increasing from £500 to qualify to £1500, not surprised it's increasing but that's quite a jump.

Good to note as well that their savings accounts have 4.1% interest rates which is one of the highest around I believe (for easy access savings with no conditions etc).

lornaae 4.1% interest rate is honestly disappointing. I'm not going to stick with them if they keep slacking.

I only use my chase account for withdrawing money when on holiday tbh. I think some of the less known banks (chip comes to mind) offered good deals initially and then expected people to stay even when other banks offered better deals.
