Child Ask for the New Apple Phone from Santa.

Other

I am not saying all children want. But I was in a supper market the other day and this child was around about 5 or 6 and she want the new Apple phone. And her mother turn around and said quitie she has got it for her Christmas. I was shocked that a child of that age got the new Apple phone. I can't afford one and I would never pay what they are asking for. What is it to day with some of children want this that and ever thing going. Some do get it. I feel sorry mum and dad's who just can't afford it. When I was that age I had clothes, books to read, tokens, colouring pens, etc etc . And I was very very happy with what Santa left me.. what do you make of it and why. 🎅🤶🎅🤶🎄🎄

I am not sure why parents allow their children to grow up with such a sense of entitlement these days. What is there left to look forward to when they are teens? I am not even sure why children are encouraged to write lists of their wants, it should be for the parents to decide what they get with the money they can afford. By all means chat in an obscure way over the dinner table about what everyone would like but to actually write a list knowing you will get everything on it is deplorable. It sets kids up for disappointment in later life and a life long obsession with material possessions, possibly debt, and a selfish disposition.

That girl by her 18th birthday would have preferred if her mother deposited it on her saving's account than purchasing a £1k phone.

Most people only use phones to browse, listen to music, watch videos, take photos, text, play games and Facebook/Twitter. Nothing standard phone can't already do in itself. Maybe the camera on the iPhone XS is comparable to high-end cameras but even then you'd be better with a professional camera.

It is good to have the latest technology but mobile phones are becoming overpriced now no wonder Apple and other companies have made trillions as people are still willing to pay more and more when companies increase their prices for new products we need to stop paying increase prices or big companies will just keep increasing prices for new products.

zerocenturyzero I'm still using my £60 Android phone from two years ago and no probs with it. Runs everything smoothly that I want.

Don't really see the point why people want the latest iPhone XS or what have you, other than it's the latest phone and expensive right now.

Rockman Android mobile phones are must more at risk of being hacked and getting Mobile malware due to the security of the platform not being as secure as Apples iOS platform. Older mobile phones get updated less which slows down and have less security protection updates and feature updates which is a strategy used by mobile phone companies to make people buy new mobile phones.

I like the new mantra that gives children

1 something to wear

2 something to read and finally

3 something they want.

But certainly not a ridiculous phone it just puts parents in debt for the next 11 months

Rant over

Children that age do not need mobiles! Most of the children I teach have fancier phones than me! And all I ever see them use these phones for are snapchat, games or music! I would never spend that amount of money on a phone for me, so definitely wouldn't do it for my child! I got wonderful presents as a child and teenager but my parents didn't go into debt to get them and they made sure we valued what we got and we did not have a sense of entitlement
