Christmas Chocolate Early?
Other
Went shopping this morning...saw the Christmas chocolate looking at me...thought no...but ended up buying some..obviously didn't save it..scoffed it tonight..those malteser reindeer one's and the Christmas puddings...think i was being weak....was i no way ready to save those for Christmas or put them away to watch someone else's fingers delve into my delightful dish of comfort ..is there a way to stop myself. And be able to share...can you..any advice
I keep looking at it too but advise you to have a look at the best before dates, some doesn't last to Christmas.
How are you supposed to fill the Christmas cupboard if the chocolate is out of date before the big day?
Ha ha. When it comes to chocolate there is no way of stopping ourselves! Just enjoy it. Talking of being in date. I have definitely been served up out of date chocolate at Christmas. It was rock hard as so stale. Couldn’t believe the cheek really.
As long as you've ate it and enjoyed the chocolates what does it matter if I brought it now it would be eaten too and not being funny but most has a naff date so it deserves to be enjoying
Christmas related topics on here get earlier each year.
Seriously though, I don't understand how people manage to restrain themselves when buying seasonal chocolate so early.
I don't normally have much restraint but bought a large tin of chocolates in Feb from Sainsbury that was massively reduced and their still in the cupboard, resdy for Christmas 2023, really proud of myself.
Already chomped our way through a tin of Quality street and a tin of Celebrations in the past fortnight. Fully expect to get through a few more tins before Christmas , thou we did resist buying anymore this week , even thou they are still on offer.
I can not offer any advice as I would be exactly the same. The only advice I can give is not to purchase in the first place, but I know that’s hard!
Not just chocolate. I bought a bottle of Amarula last week to put away for Christmas. It's already been cracked opened.
I don't purchase food / drink gifts until last minute for above reason, but it was on offer
We have chocolate throughout the year not just Christmas. I have a goodie cupboard and it’s stocked up, in fact I’m waiting for my 144 mini flakes to arrive.
