Christmas Eve Boxes/bags

My mum makes my kids their Christmas even boxes/bags and they look forward to them every year so I was thinking we could share ideas for what to put in them.
My mum usually includes
Pyjamas
Slippers/socks
Book
Pringles
Sweets
Hot chocolate
Small game
Biscuits
Mug
Nicely headband/hat
Selection box
So what do you put in yours?
The same as yours but I add a packet of rain deer food made from porridge oats and glitter
I think your mum's list is a pretty well thought out, the only thing I do differently is colouring books and pens for my younger one instead of a game.
Pringles yes!! I’m doing that for our movie at night along with pjs, a book, a wee mug (I got last year for 62p). And some snacks for the movie x

I don't understand Christmas eve boxes. Surely you would just put that stuff in their stocking to open on Christmas day?
I absolutely love making my three kids these Christmas eve boxes I start them before I start buying there gifts. This year is my best yet I started in January which has helped save some penny's.
I never do one they get enough on Christmas day. Just a way to guilt us into spending more
When my boys were young on Christmas Eve they would get: A christmas scented bath time treat such as a bath bomb/bubble bath. New pjs, slipper socks, Chocolate, popcorn, colouring or stickerbook & a Christmas dvd (would just pop a movie on Netflix these days tho).
More than likely something that has spread from across the Atlantic, like Black Friday and Trick or Treat before that.
Times have changed, I never had one neither did my 3 children but back then these boxes were never heard of. If that's what people want to do and can afford to do then I don't see a problem in it. Don't understand the elf on a shelf or gonks though

Christmas eve boxes...where do the children think they come from...the Christmas elves the night before Christmas eve...WHAT is going on..another money making racket. I love Christmas but I don't understand what all this nonsense is..mince pies and a glass of sherry was our Christmas eve surprise..x
