Christmas Presents - is Everyone Done and Dusted?
Ask a Question
Is everyone nearly there for Christmas presents yet or is it just me who feels a bit panicky with quite a few bits more to get. I also never feel like I've given enough, is anyone else the same?
I haven't bought anything for my son as he is one and doesn't understand Christmas yet. Not getting anything for my parents in law as they are in New Zealand, so we agreed not to do presents this year. Got my husband and my parents and my granny presents and that's it. I didn't get anyone any presents last year and none of us were bothered as we had bigger issues going on.
I wouldn't worry about it. Give what you are able too and never feel like you haven't given enough. You went out and spent your money on others, that's what counts.
studentgirl123 I think people get really hung up on presents, when the most important thing is having a nice day with loved ones.
I think that's a good idea when kids are young. I remember seeing someone else (here I think) ask if spending a few hundred on their 2 year old was enough! It's way more than enough - it's crazy - they won't know the difference at that age!
All bought but only half are wrapped. I've been wrapping only when I need to hand them out. Need to get the rest done this weekend
It wouldnt be christmas unless i panicked a bit...i strive to make everyone happy and create wonderful memories...i expect too much of myself ...but thats because i love and care about my loved ones.
I’ve not finished buying gifts and I’ve not even started wrapping the ones I have bought. Ordered something this morning to be collected Christmas Eve so fingers crossed it arrives in time. No need to panic just yet.
Am I the only one on here who have bought and wrapped all my Christmas presents and wishing I had more to wrap? I'm feeling a little lost now because this time last year I was still waiting for my last delivery before I did all my wrapping
I finished buying ages ago, but I need to wrap most. That probably doesn't help you not panic though!
But, yes. Even though I get presents that seem more expensive than they are (it helps to get good deals), I sometimes feel and wonder if I've not got people enough!
Ive got a few things coming from Amazon today but im done. Finished getting the last little bits on Wed when we went shopping but i have bought thhe majority online. Most of the presents are wrapped and xmas eve boxes are ready. Just got to get the big things ive been keeping at my parents home
Iv done and dusted and all wrapped. I’m not panicking this year. If iv forgot something or not got enough then it’s tough. I’m not stressing over it this year. I want to enjoy it
yep im done and dusted and all wrapped i havent spent a great deal but its not the cost its the thought that counts if they dont like what i give them they can give me it back
No but I’ve ordered a couple more presents online. Some will be delivered to local Waitrose for collection Christmas Eve and others to be collected two days after Xmas. In fairness to me I was only told a few hours ago what they wanted so I can just blame them for not giving me sufficient time.
I'm done and dusted, delivered a few to family members yesterday and today. Ready for the main event now
