I've just about got friends there gifts. And I've just got few gifts left to get for dad. Then there's the new man in my life. Not sure what to get him yet. I've start to put food away for Christmas. When I do my on line shopping I get few extra things for Christmas. So not for of off finishing my gifts. And i all save to wards Christmas well. Which help a lot. And newyears eve i might be a way. For a few days.
Well done Jojo, it's hard for a lot of people finding the money for xmas. You've done really well to give up the gin for vimto! Alcohol is always so expensive. I don't drink so I can't cut back on that. I have to cut back on takeaways and sweet treats I wish my shopping was done already, I'm not even half way yet
I think Christmas is expensive. I work in retail, so order readymade sides and cakes pay half now and half before Christmas. The tree.... Expensive. Last year I left it and when we went to B&Q had no nice shaped tree... This year will try to shop earlier.
I only buy gift for my daughter and my husband... And start to shop from October, but I got all the wrapping paper and boxes on January sale... Keep it in storage...
You are well prepared jojowane67. I'll usually have most things sorted by early December. If I'm buying certain food items, such as fine chocolates, I'll leave it to the last minute for freshness.
Christmas wrapping, anyone know any cheap places to buy some online or offline? Don't want to spend too much and I've got loads of pressies to wrap soon!

I haven't actually bought any presents yet, but I know exactly what everyone is getting. We save throughout the year to pay for various things, like paying a bit extra on the mortgage, paying for Christmas presents etc. This year we aren't spending as much on Christmas and have told our family to do the same with presents for us as we don't need anything. Christmas is a very difficult time for a lot of people, I am like you jojo, I would rather give up something to save some money (I don't drink, so we cut down on take aways).
