Christmas, Thank You and Birthday Cards Are Going to Be the Thing of the Past

Other

I've just been reading that in 12 to 18 mouth. All birthday cards thank you cards Christmas cards are going to be the thing of the pass. Because people are not sending them any more. And all so letter writing will be the thing of the pass. What's taking over is email and Skype and text. I think it's a shame that is going to be the thing of the past. Not every one has one of these Skype email and text. What do you think of it and would you miss it. 🐧🐧🐧

I always write thank you cards and I think it is the least you can do when someone has gone to the effort of buying you a gift. I also love receiving letters in the mail it is so nice to keep them and look back on them. It is not the same receiving an email but I would definitely prefer an email message of thanks to none at all!

Progress, what can you do? It's like swimming against the tide. However, as long as I get a thank you I don't mind what form it takes.

The problem is greeting cards and postage stamps are overpriced. Combined, you can easily pay £3.00+ to send a birthday card by post to a UK address or you can send a text or email for free. Card shops and the Royal Mail are pricing themselves out of the market ✉️

I agree. Postage is far too expensive for what it is and it's only going to get worse.

With the cost of postage nowadays, I am not really surprised by this, whilst you can send electronic birthday and Christmas cards for free. 65p for 1st class stamps and 56p for second class are quite pricey, especially when sending more than one at a time. Postage is only going to get more expensive sadly. 🙁 xx
