Favourite City Break Destination?
Other
Hi, I want to book a weekend somewhere in Europe in the next couple months but just can't decide! So many fab places to go. Lisbon, Bruge, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Barcelona... The list is long..
What's your favourite city break destination?
My favourite European cities outside of the UK are Stockholm, Berlin, Reykjavik and Paris. I like Bruges, but for me it's more of a day trip destination from Brussels
Barcelona is very nice and popular, before booking your holiday consider how the weather is going to be as Stockholm will be very different than Barcelona or Lisbon in terms of weather.
Although I have given up on overseas travel (too stressful) there are 2 places I would still love to visit: Bruges and Rome, mostly for the historical aspect.
Please keep on an eye on the travel section on LD, I post cracking deals all over the world and usually do my Europe posts on friday night

Honestly my favourite city break was probably Prague. I had so much fun there was so much to see & do and it was a cheap destination to go and visit. I‘d go back in a heartbeat.
I love Amsterdam , lots to do, people are so friendly and life feels so relaxed, its so good i never want to come home.
Amsterdam is lovely for a short break but Florence, Rome, Barcelona are all great too. there is always a deal and don't forget to book through topcashback or quidco to get cashback
yes prague is absolutely amazing and lots of culture too and it is amazingly cheap too so you can get more for your money too
I went to Dublin earlier this year and had a fantastic time, so much to see and do, we are hoping to return next year. Agree with others Bruges is lovely.
I've been to Rome a few times and there is always so much to see - it is huge so comfortable shoes needed. My favourite place is Florence. The place oozes charm and a relaxed atmosphere with great wine, reliable food and friendly locals.
Johnny San Gallo Palace - very quiet and extremely well kept. The closer option Hotel Paris although it wasn't as highly rated as the first it was close to everything. Places change over a couple of years so please research. If you make a decision to make the trip, please feel free to tag me and I will be happy to share tips and favourite places.
I haven't travelled that much but have done Budapest, such a beautiful place with plenty to do
Barcelona is really nice, it is not too big so you feel like you have the time to explore - and really amazing food!
