Coast Fashion Retailer Collapses
News
Just been reading this and thought I would share it with you all.
Women's fashion retailer coast has gone into administration putting 300 jobs at risk in a sign of continuing pain on the high street.
The collapse means the immediate closure of its 24 stores at locations including Oxford.
Karen Millen has brought some parts of coast who website and department store concessions will keep trading.
A another shop has closeted it's doors. The poor workers. And just before Christmas. They are keeping there on line shop. In a minute there will be no shop to go to. It Will be on line only. Then what will happen to jobs. This year we have lost a lot of high street stores. What ever next. What do you make of it all.
It looks like Patisserie Valerie maybe in the same boat soon (although, criminality is a possible factor). This is going to keep on happening. There is so much competition many will find it difficult to survive. There needs to be a change in business rates to make it farer between high street shops and the likes of Amazon.
Patisserie Valerie and Pauls are only opened stores in central places. I do not even understand why they can not open one in Stratford Westfield, they would make a lot of money there.
