Do You Complain?

Ask a Question

We regularly get a chinese from a really nice restaurant and we pay the extra for it. Tonight we decided to try some place else, paid the same just got more for our money. Wish we hadn’t’. was awful. Even my kids refused it. Do you complain? we didn’t directly as it the taste was not to our likin, think we spoilt ourselves finding a really good quality restaurant. But we wrote a review on their website.

I forget to mention it was a takeaway . if we was out then I would’ve complained directly. If we get overcooked or undercooked food with our takeaway we get straight on the phone. This was just not tasty 😕

I definitely think it is worth complaining if it isn’t up to scratch! We complained at Harvester and got 2 out of 4 meals free because they were poor standard. I guess it depends where you have ordered from but I would say so!

It depends. I'm more of a complainer now than I used to be meant years ago. It can get you money back, so it's sometimes worth it. If it is truly bad then yes, complain.

I find it difficult to complain in a restaurant but I did email once I returned home. The service was diabolical and we felt in the way so I politely put all this in an email and vowed never to frequent them again.

I don't like making a fuss so It has to be pretty diabolical food/service for me to complain. I will if its terrible enough & i would leave reviews accordingly.

It depends what the complaint is about. If it’s about the service, or quality of the food, then yes. But if it’s a preference matter, than not so much

Only if I feel as if there's something which needs to be complained about.

Yes I would complain if I felt that something wasn't right and not just about the food. I wrote an e mail to a certain chain last year due to the restaurant being under staffed and that the two staff that they had working were run ragged, I felt it needed raising to a higher as the staff they had were doing a brilliant job under the circumstances. That chain sent me vouchers for 4 free meals just for bringing it to their attention, that certainly wasn't the reason that I wrote to them but a kind gesture in return.

I don’t tend to complain unless its undercooked. people like and dislike different foods just because it doesn’t taste good to one person it may to another. you can’t really complain if you don’t like the taste of something

I would prefer to complain than write a bad review as when you complain as long as you are polite and it is constructive then it’s better for the Buisness and you and your likely to get a money off

Yes if its poor service, off food or incorrect temp. There are too many people out there that will complain because they just don't like it or its not cooked how they normally have it and i hate them people. I worked many years at a restaurant and so many people think they are right when it comes to cooking.

In this situation i would provide feedback. Too often i see people complaining about the most ridiculous things or they take it to social media and start a campaign to get someone fired so i get put off complaining bu definitely in your situation feedback is necessary.
