Crime Drops by 8% during Year of Lockdowns

Ask a Question

Nice to see something positive come out of lockdown, however when you go on to read the article it's not all good news, as domestic violence rose.

Does the stats reflect your experience, was there a lot less anti social behaviour, robbery etc. In your area?

I think initially when the first lockdown began there was less anti social behaviour in my area, but it didn't last long as people didn't follow the lockdown rules for very long.

Only 8%? Not much.

I remember watching a video on YouTube filmed somewhere in U.K. where a man was being assaulted. So much for being safer.

Even the cops don't necessarily stand much of a chance since they only have batons and tasers while other real cops from around the world carry guns.

PhilipMarc and I think this one of the reasons. British people don’t take the law seriously

Nor the government

We don’t like been told what to do

I'm just surprised that crime didn't fall by a far greater amount, let's face it, nearly all of us were at home!
