Does Anyone Else Love Olio?
Ask a Question
I was dismayed about a comment I saw regarding Olio. Olio helped me when I needed 2 sofas and I ended up with 2x2Seater Leather Sofas in fantastic condition!! No money changed hands but I go on there everyday and I see how much stuff is re-used and food, No-good items that are saved from the bin!! Have a look guys I mean I've seen luxury cakes, breads, coffee right through to a pair of size9 men's Caterpillar Boots! Let me know what you think about it
I'm not sure what Olio is, to be honest. Until you mentioned this, I didn't know it existed. From what you've said, it sounds like a site a bit like Craigslist or Freecycle? Sounds exciting for people who want to renovate on a budget or stretch their grocery budget. Thanks for the tip about this website!
I thought olio was a hair dye. Now I know its not I will have a little gander to see what it is
I thought maybe it was a spread!?...am off to look...... thanks for the post keepitjijjy
I've tried to give stuff away on Olio lots of times, no one has ever taken it. I put it up on fb and it is gone very quickly. Olio obviously isn't used much in our area. I've seen loads of sofas for free up on fb. I think it is a brilliant thing and I love that it means things don't go to waste, but it has never been successful for me so I deleted it. I have much more success on fb.
I put something on got reply within 10 minutes must depend on area I have 295 neighbour on it
Imnotcheap there are loads of people in my area on it but don't think it is used much by the people on it
You know I think it does.. I've Heard a few people say that.. I think they're fairly new so maybe the more people that talk about Olio, the more people will have a look.. It's a bit like Gumtree but completely free.. Imnotcheap
I think FB is brilliant for selling and donating unwanted items...Preloved is very good too.
I haven't tried it yet but sounds good I hear Tesco giving stuff away too now think I will download and see
If it's like Freegle and Freecycle, yes it's great. I've had a 4K TV (with a slight tint) and an excellent late 80s stereo from Freegle. It keeps stuff in circulation, going to people who can use it instead of being dumped at landfill.
Definitely in agreement with you there, it's silly really to dump perfectly good nosh or TV's etc when someone else would be glad of it. #Love Olio
