I seen this method used years ago on The Super Nanny with Jo Frost, I think it is a great idea if it helps children behave 🙂

I thought it was good because the child then has a purpose instead of feeling bored (but I hadn't seen it on the super nanny). 🐞

Well, any idea is a good idea nowadays. Wales has just involved a smacking ban, so, parents will have to restrain themselves. I don't like smacking but then some parents are too soft imo.

You don't need to smack to get kids to behave. My mum never smacked me once, but I was well behaved because my mum had 'the look' and it meant you were in serious trouble. You didn't mess with my mum. She was the sweetest, most mild mannered woman you could met but when you crossed the line, you ran and hid because she was scary.

I gag mine with a balled sock and zip-tie him to the trolley! !!!!! (Not really)

If I have to take the kids, I play games as we go around and generally most supermarkets offer free fruit for kids, to stop the scanning of empty wrappers at the checkout routine.

And tbh I detest grocery shopping anyway, so playing a game with my littlest while we go around makes it more tolerable for both of us, but I do tend to be as fast as possible.
