Hello everyone!
The title of the news is amazing! A dog trained to smell blood sugar levels saved the life of a seven-year-old boy with type 1 diabetes. This dog is a hero!

I have heard so many stories how dogs have helped people, they are so amazing. I do believe we still do not use dogs to their full potential and just treat them as pets.

I read about one dog owner, who I later met, she suffered epileptic seizures the kind that happen unexpectedly, her dog would let her know a short time before they occured enabling her to have the seizures in a safe place.
Added by Edit, I tried to check out the above which was over 20 years ago. That dog wasn't trained - it just did it. I find dogs are now trained to detect the seizures ....with 100% accuracy. www.supportdogs.org.uk/epilepsy-seizure-alert
