Dog Walkers Warned after Razor Blades Found in Tennis Balls

In the News

I've just been reading this and thought I would share it with you all. I know some of you have dogs like me.

Dog walkers have been warned after razor blades were found in tennis ball amid fears man's best friend is being targeted.

A dog power found a razor blade hidden in a tennis ball in Lyme park Stockport on Friday evening. I've now stopped my dogs playing with tennis balls. This could kill your dog if they were to swallow it. It dos not bear thing about. What ever next will people do. What do you make of it all 🐶🐶🐶🐶

Why do people have to be so nasty? What exactly do they get out of doing things like this? 😢

I have always believed that there's a special place in hell for those who harm animals and children. xx

My auntie told me about this earlier. I was horrified! I don't take our dog to the park as there are loads of grassy areas round our area.

I can never understand why anyone would want to hurt an animal.

nicolajaynehend careful, she will be trying to find out where your farm is! My parents also live in the Highlands and there is a number of fields outside their house and she loves it there! Recently in our local park someone put poisoned dog treats under the freshly cut the grass and a few dogs ended up at the vets. Luckily they are all fine and none of them died. I just don't get why someone would such a thing.

MrsCraig why would any one do that in a park . Put down poisoned dog treats. A child could have picked up that. Glade the dogs were ok. Has dog packed her case yet.

nicolajaynehend I know! I couldn't believe it when I read about it. Kids will try to put anything in their mouths especially when it looks like food! She has her favourite tennis ball and her favourite treats, which she says she will share, all ready to go!

nicolajaynehend it is such a shame. There are some wicked people out there!

Her name is Freya, she is a Jack Russell. Ahh that's a good idea, I could put one in the garden for her, would keep her cool 😎

MrsCraig my friends laughs at me because I use the paddling pool for the dogs. Like I said they to get hot and need to cool down. What I do is put warm water in for them. So it's not a shock to them, because the water can be icy cold. And I know I would not like to get in a cold bath. What a lovely name. I have pet sheep called that. And she still comes in the kitchen. Hope freya enjoys her dip. Let's us know have she got on with it. 🤗

nicolajaynehend ahh warm water is a good idea, didn't think about that, will give that a try. My husband suggested the name and it suited her. Ahh that's lovely, I think it would be brilliant to walk into the kitchen and see a sheep.

I'm sure she will love it, will let you know what she thinks.

Things like this absolutely make my blood boil. To some people their dogs are all they have. People that do this sort of thing should be severely punished it’s barbaric.
