doughnuts.....do You like Them?
Ask a Question
Im gong to try making doughnuts anyone got a fav flavour combination or do you not like them? I like them just with raspberry jam
I'm actually a huge fan of the simple ring doughnuts and don't like the cheap jam doughnuts with the weird liquidity jam so much. Unfortunately the simple ring doughnuts with less dough material and no jam seem to be more expensive for some reason but I do prefer them especially when hot.
Oh yeah, I love donuts. I'd eat a ton of Dunkin Donuts, but they're expensive! Come on, it's donuts!
I recently had one from a mobile wagon - apple and custard and it was delish! I can only think that the compote and custard were made extra thick before they were injected into dough, because they were fried in front of me and there was no leakage (I realise jams are usually added after cooking)
I like donuts but not one that can eat loads in one sitting I could eat 2 at most before feeling sickly same with chocolate and sweets
MeestairChrees if I could I would. I am on second prove of the dough and man I have to say so far they look and smell awesome!
OneeyedRaven maybe you could share the recipe instead. I have no idea where to even begin to make doughnuts and you're making me hungry!
Not really, definitely not a fan of the mass produced doughnuts, even though the likes of Krispy Kreme look good. I always preferred the plain, freshly made ones - the smell of them being made is always draws me in
The Krispy Kreme doughnut that uses Lotus Biscoff caramelised biscuit spread works really well. You could try making your own version at home
KirstyWaddell I will! getting nervous that theyre gonna fail in the fryer after all my babying lol
All my neighbours are doughnuts does that count?
Actually the Oreo Doughnut triple pack they sell in Asda is amazing i dont normally eat doughtnuts but gave em a go and they are a bit moreish.
OneeyedRaven Can you do that in English please i am only a beginner in Gibberish!
>l;o)
yes, they are a great snack to have. I like the Oreo ones you can get in the supermarket, as they are not expensive, and you get the great Oreo biscuit bits too
Tim Hortons doughnuts are the best... loved them when I was in Canada many years ago and then they came to the UK their apple fritter and Canadian Maple Doughnut are the best... they also do a boston cream which is amazing.. way better than Krispy Kreme!
Mmm yes, jam doughnuts from Sainsburys, love them. My husband prefers custard so it's unfortunate when we buy their doughnuts we have to buy 2 bags
