Dressing up for Conference Calls?
Ask a Question
I was amused to read that Boohoo have said it had seen a rise in sales of smart tops, as people working from home needed to keep up appearances on camera in front of their colleagues

For those who are working from home, do you make the effort to dress up before a conference call?
I can’t say I’m bothered. If I look too ratty, I just keep the camera off and let them listen to what I say - no need to see me at all lol
I saw there were reports of people dressing up to take out their rubbish, dressed to the nines. You do what makes you happy. Dressing up to do chores doesn't make me happy
I put the camera on the first couple days, now i don't bother. If you're close enough to the screen they won't see the clothes anyway
Or you could just be yourself and dress how you feel you are in your own home so if you fancy being naked go for it I would .anyway on another note i received a phone call from Amazon saying they are going to close my account in the next 24 hours if I don't press 1and sort it out with them .it wasn't amazon and no i didn't do what they asked. So just in case anyone gets this number calling its from Germany 0049646411381 . I still being naked for the conference is more fun just think how many people will be smiling.
I look like absolute s**t and have partaken in several video calls ranging from personal to business networking. A quick mess with the hair and off we go. Nobody cares.
I do my hair, but from the neck down I have my pajamas or dressing gown on. I certainly don't dress up like I would for work. On the occasion I've got dressed, I just had a fleece jumper on (it was cold at the time as it was morning, we had frost and we don't have heating).
I just put hair up, normal clothes but not pyjamas. I don't feel in work mode if I'm not dressed.
I have many meetings via Teams and only once have I had to use my camera. Even then I had a polo neck shirt on. Thats all they need to see. Nothing wrong with that, so I don't understand why you need to 'dress up' for meetings
Sod the fancy tops I would have a vast array of knitted attire, I'd be like a one person knitted fashion show
My husband had just showered this morning when he realised he had a conference call. So with just a towel wrapped round him he attended. I wanted to shout out he’s naked! But didn’t dare
