Not so much a day that everything went wrong, but a 10 minute job turned into a 6 hours graft and an £80 bill -

I thought I'd clean my pond pump, but while pulling it out the hose snapped (I think the winter frosts had made it brittle.)

So I had to source some new hose, and because it was an emergency the only place that I knew had the diameter I need is very expensive.

Then some hose clips, some plumbers tape, and I thought I'd get some fresh sponge for the filter box.

I may rename my pond "the money pit" and it's only the fact I love my fish preventing me from filling it in permanently.
