Which family members should at least be invited to a wedding? Immediate family or should you bother with extended family?
The ones that you like and those that will be happy to come and be part of the memory
There really is no right or wrong answer with this one. Family politics are unique to everyone! I would just say invite those who will enhance your day, don’t feel pressured to invite anybody because your parents think you should or your cousin twice removed invited you to her sons birthday party once four years ago so you feel you need to return the favour!
It also totally depends on the type of wedding, some people want small & intimate and others like a more lavish bash. I’d say there is not a straight forward answer to this one
Invite the ones that you actually want there. Think about who you would miss if they weren't there
Only the ones you want to be part of your day (oh and maybe that rich uncle you know will buy a huge gift),

I have been married twice first was a big wedding all the family and friends 2nd was small and had about 20 people mostly friends and that was the best on
