Did you know there are 7,500 varieties of apples in the world, you are spoilt for choice
Heres some of the most popular
Whats your favourite ?
Mine is granny smith
I hope this post doesnt give someone the pip
I didn't know there were so many varieties. We buy Golden Delicious most of the time, but I'm not fussy with apples, I mostly put them in smoothies.
My favourite variety of apple is Pink Lady so not one of the old heirloom ones. It’s always sweet and crunchy but not the cheapest.
telmel My father got three lads scaling the wall to get at our apple tree.He brought them in and gave them a belly full and a box full to go but told em to knock next time!
telmel I learned quite early in the day that I was built for comfort and not for speed. Running is so undignified for the top heavy. I'd go into a speed wobble lol.
MelissaLee1963The houses with the apple trees backed onto the woods so we used to tumble down the embankment when caught and chased

Obviously I never give the same "usual suspects" a reply as it just adds to their points garnering (a daily occurrence sadly ). Unfortunately I have only sympathy for such members who take advantage of the site each and every day replying to each other's comments . If they have no embarrassment or guilt then only Latest Deals moderators can stop it - Not my job !
It’s a pink lady or a golden delicious if I go to the shops but if I am out on a walk with the dog there’s a few apple trees that have great tasting apples on them but I don’t know what variety they are as they are but they taste a lot nicer than shop bought
Besides tasting nice apples are very good for your health, hence the saying ''an apple a day keeps the doctor away ''
Do you know that out of most alcoholic beverages natural cider is one of the healthiest because of the apple content
There is nothing like a pint of scrumpy , all natural , and potent
Has to be a ‘pine’ apple for me. I don’t mind an apple in a pitta bread with cheese, carrot and raisins but they turn brown so quick.
I see what you did there E , nice one
Did you know when english explorers discovered them they called them pineapples because of their resemblance to pine cones from conifer trees
telmel The Pineapple represents hospitality and welcoming. There are old stories from the Isle of Wight about pineapples being left outside, something to do with sailors I think. They are now something to do with swingers parties. I prefer to eat mine!
I remember being hooked on pink lady apples every night with a glass of milk but my favourite is the good old royal gala. Granny smith is tasty too but I haven't had one in a while
Btw, don't worry about who likes or dislikes your post, we're all adults and if someone doesn't like the post topic then they can skip it. Keep posting
Definitely has to be Braeburn for me, I love the taste of them, and least favourite would be Granny Smith!
I prefer granny smith A as i take raw ginger every day and it doesnt seem so strong with the apple being acidic
But i love all apples, not too much of a fan of golden delicious, they seem a bit bland , like the french
We have a couple of apple trees. I have just frozen the apples from one of the trees ready for making apple pies and crumbles throughout the year... Yummy. We eat the apples from the other tree.
It's a shame that supermarkets don't sell many British apples, I would buy more if they did! Mr T loves his cox... apples!
tumblespots please advise me how I can do that freeze apples do u stew them ?? *** thank you
Aenurse1 Yes, but only lightly otherwise the apples lose all their texture. If you are happy with apple puree then stew them right down.
The iPhone 5 it was a nice size... oh wait... out of the well known varieties Braeburn. Although, I prefer trying less well known apples, but can never remember what they're called.
I think they are based on granny smiths A
Heres a bit of info on the design , the designer sold himself a bit short on the royalties
Ronald Wayne, who hand-sketched the first Apple logo, left the company shortly before its registration. He took with him a cheque of $800, which could have earned him about $72 billion today.
The problem with Apples is the saying ,An Apple a day keeps the doctor away . Unfortunately now the doctors will not see anyone so I totally blame apples for them refusing to see us .
