Any Fell Walkers or Hikers?

Ask a Question

could you recommend any great long lasting well i was going to say boots but are trail shoes better? I really need something supportive but ultra comfy. I am looking at salomon, TNF but no idea how to decide. TIA

If you are going to do a lot of walking uneven terrain then boots do offer more support, but I do use both. Walking boots are also good if you are walking on wet muddy ground. I like to wear walking shoes if the weather is really nice and the ground is dry. I haven't bought Salomon footwear before so don't know how they are. I tend to buy Scarpa, Meindl and Inov-8 footwear. I've not had any issues with these brands. Personally, I wouldn't recommend Merrell. I've tried a couple of pairs from them and found they wear out faster than the brands I mentioned before.

Iv always bought Karrimors & found them to be ideal. I'd echo what ACR recommends tho, Boots are best, far more support on rougher terrains.
