Festive Drinking
Ask a Question
my favourite winter drinks are baileys and a snowball. What are yours and when do you indulge in different drinks than you usually would throughout the year?
I will be indulging on hot chocolate and latte wouldn't bother me about drinking personally don't see point you can enjoy Xmas without a drink
Its the highest point of year where alcohol related family arguments are and divorce rates then in the January
This is just my opinion on alcohol but each to their own
Definitely a Baileys, I love it but only seem to drink it at Christmas. Other than that, I'd like to try sime festive flavoured gins
LenoirLenoir I really disliked gin until a friend got me to try pink gin and lemonade, flavoured gins are now my normal drink.
LenoirLenoir definitely and make sure it's with lemonade and not tonic. Hope you enjoy
I'm off alcohol at the moment but will be pining for a drop of Baileys in my morning coffee.
I did not know this existed...I’ll have to look out for this one on my next shopping trip.
LenoirLenoir Have only seen it in B&M and Home Bargains the big supermarkets dont seem to sell it!
Buck’s Fizz on Christmas morning ! and if I go to that markets I have hot chocklate with Baile But other than that not really much drinking being done by me as I’m always the designated driver .
Baileys!! Its dangerous how much I love it. Also honey JD. Only time of year I drink either.
Nah Advocaat and Lemonade was always our fave I started drinking it when i was 9 - my dad was naughty!
Been teetotal since I was 18.
So maybe giving yer kids a cigar, *** and booze early on will put em off for life!
>;o)
garygemmell lol, that one backfired on me. I was only ever allowed a couple of sips of snowball or babysham, I was a very disgruntled 9 year old
Ooh I love snowball around Christmas time with a maraschino cherry on top. Also like disaranno, cherry brandy and apricot brandy at Christmas. It's a struggle but I try to fit them all in Around June I always seem to buy a bottle of pimms and then that's it for the pimms for another year.
Oh yes, the cherry is a must. It was the only splash of alcohol I was allowed at Christmas growing up. And I only wanted the cherry really lol
LenoirLenoir only a tiddly little dash, I'm not sure you can even taste it but yes you definitely can't have a snowball without a cherry. Honestly, this conversation is starting to make me feel like I have a problem, I could murder any of the above mentioned at the moment and I've got blackcurrant squash!
Mulled wine and cider, port and baileys are all lovely. Spiced juices and flavoured hot chocolates are also nice at this time of the year
If I'm at a Christmas market or festival I like to get a mulled wine or hot chocolate with Amaretto (or Baileys Irish Cream)
Also talking about festive drinks I get excited for the limited edition hot chocolates in Costa
