Holiday Ideas For a Few Days Away? £300 Budget
Ask a Question
Looking to go away for a few days in October, Monday to Friday, Uk or abroad. Anyone got any ideas, budget of £300 per person.
I would suggest the Uk, perhaps come down here to the south west, beaches, walks, etc. There are places like Longleat which are doing their festival of lights again. Plenty of excursions down this way
Thanks for your reply, we came down your way in June and done Longleat, Dartmoor Zoo, boat trip and arranged for my husband to drive a train. Lovely place but looking for somewhere else.
I’d recommend using the tool CheekyWeekend.co which helps you find exactly this.
Seems like you have to sign up, which means I will keep get unwanted emails and also it is for weekends away. I can only go Monday to Friday.
So, 300 pounds for a few days?
Hotel (2 stars) maybe for £80
Car rental - That's where it can get pricey
Food - Cheap and darn, darn good.
This would apply to Spain and Portugal in certain areas. You really can eat so much for so little while in U.K. you'd pay double, triple or quadruple the price (looking at you, Nando's).
I would definitely say the UK. There are so many brilliant places to go and you can stay somewhere nicer because you don't have the travel costs. Maybe the seaside. What part of the UK are you in?
I dont think you can beat a caravan/mobile home on the coast even when its chilly. Haven are great and have lots of entertainment to keep you busy.
That’s great with the kids but as it is just my husband and I. I was looking for a bit more luxury, forgot to mention that.
Go to Budapest....find AirBnB so it is cheaper and u can cook a meal a day....wonderful city. Also they have group tickets for transport which is very cheap....and u can go from one side of the city to the other in 30 min.
We love going to Northern Ireland or the highlands of Scotland. You can get an airbnb for all of you which helps keep costs down and there are loads of places with driving distance/train/bus.
