First Grass Cut of the Year.

I plan on doing the first mow of the year tomorrow. With all this warm weather the grass is going mad !! I honestly don’t think I can remember ever having to cut the grass in Feb !
That's strange I was just thinking of doing first cut tomorrow - I didn't manage what should have been the last cut, it was too wet. So my lawn's probably worse.
nipperjwb I'd seriously thought of getting artificial grass and plastic flowers, I seem to spend more time working on garden than relaxing in it.
davidstockport my friend paid a fortune and had that done then had a rat infestation so had to have it all ripped up ! The rats came up through her drains apparently.... grose !
Planning to trim my grass this week. Getting a bit warm in the loft so dont want to be sweating when doing it.
I wont mention it’s grass cutting time yet, my husband really doesn’t enjoy gardening. He does it under sufferance but I dread it when he’s got the secateurs and loppers in hand, he never does a gentle trim. One year he took several of my camellia shrubs down to almost ground level, they’ve taken years to recover.
The Camelia incident brought back memories of trying to impress my future Mother in Law by helping to weed the garden. I completely wiped out her fennel, caraway and many other frondy looking things. It took a long time to live down. 
It seems like everyone cut the grass yesterday and lit bonfires! I couldn't go in our garden was full of smoke!
