Should Flat Faced Dogs Be Banned from Competitions ?

Ask a Question

So I saw on GMTV this am , that RSPCA was disappointed that a French bulldog won best Utility dog at Cruffs . They state that dogs such as French bulldogs and pugs have such problems with breathing etc that they should not be allowed

What’s your thoughts ?

Pedigree dogs often live with horrible health conditions due to inbreeding of close relatives in order to keep physical attributes locked in. We really should think about banning pedigree dogs and cats which cause so much suffering due to people choosing animals as a cosmetic choice. You only have to look at the royal family, King Charles eyes are almost touching and there is another royal who seems to have oversized eyes. Also wasn't there some sort of mutant they kept hidden in the royal line in the past. I can't remember the details.

Genetics finds strength in diversity mostly it finds the oldest genetic patterns in each partner which are likely the most successful and would likely include those. It's just an evolutionary process to improve genetics. I won't post any images but you only have to google inbred people from southern USA to see some shockers.
