Free Baby Items
Money Saving
Can anyone help me please ,
I recently found out i was pregnant and am starting to look for items to buy and noticed things can be rather expensive , any tips on saving money or even baby samples that companies are giving away ?

Emma's diary and bounty give you free nappies and other freebies. Emmas diary also have loads of deals on prams, carseats, cots etc. Look on fb marketplace for baby items as there are always loads and so cheap. If you buy a second hand cot , just make sure you buy a brand new mattress. See if any of your friends are getting rid of baby stuff. You will find people will buy the baby loads of clothes, so only buy them enough for the first week to begin with and then add to it if you need to. If you have time enter baby comps, not guaranteed to win obviously but I did it when pregnant and won 6 bottles and baby blankets, so it is worth a go. I know in England you can do an online course to get a free baby box but don't know what is in it as in Scotland we get ours free from the government and they are different. Shop for items during the baby events as things are cheaper. I got most of my stuff from Asda, except my pram which I got in the mothercare sale, so look out for those too. If you have a boots card sign up to the parenting club as you get vouchers for free stuff, I got vitamins and a baby bottle and breast pads, you get vouchers for freebies after baby is born too. Supermarket own nappies are just as good as the expensive ones.

Thank you , very helpful information , i will sign up to boots parenting club and emmas diary now actually , sounds great

Email every baby company you can find. A lot of them will send you samples or coupons if you ask nicely enough and show a genuine interest in their products. I.e. tell them specifically which products you were wanting to try and why you like them. I got some lovely samples and coupons this way from emailing aquawipes , pampers, kit and kin, lansinoh, childs farm, good bubble, p&g is great for coupons, maybe show an interest in Fairy as that's great for newborn skin. I've also seen others get free products from milton but I prefer to steam sterilize.
