Do Your Have Friends That Hate the Fact You Are Very Personal & Private?

Ask a Question

Most people I know are not bothered, others accept it.

Others may dislike it but have to live with it.

Thing is I unfortunately have 3friends, I've know for years & they are related, they are VERY nosy & will do ANYTHING to know something they want to know about you.

Cutting my long story short when my late dad & late grandmother past away & as I have no family left in UK.

As I was grieving& was not myself & VERY weak... they finally got out of me why I was brought up with my late dad & what happened between my parents.

Also now they understand why me & my mum are so seriously distant.

They REALLY tried getting this out of my dad but always failed....

I have told certain close friends my story but I didn't want to tell them, I couldn't believe it when I did.

They HATE the fact specially the youngest daughter that I am so private.

As I had my evil aunty borthering during my grieving, they found out about her as well!

Now they think they know EVERYTHING about me but they don't.

They only know about my mum & my evil aunty.

They don't realise how their actions are making people talk behind their back, but this may sound odd or strange but because they are nice, kind & do respect others (specially the mother) people find it hard to stop them behaving in this matter.

Or say anything...

Well Nicole you have certainly put it out there now. For a private person that is a very personal post, but telling half a story.

Now me, I am the most open person you could ever meet, my friends and family know all there is to know but that is probably because there is nothing I am ashamed or embarrassed about.

Obviously I don't share anything that can make me a victim of crime but I have always found that being open draws people to me and they often confide or ask advice.

This is the 1st time I've done it this way, but I've done it for many good reasons which you'll read below any personal person can do that, if their story is only on based line story.

(Especially if they need a boost/help/advice/reassurance)

Meaning just 15% of the story is been told like I have, no full details. People assume things too quickly, normally gets the full details of the story totally wrong & a private person knows when to draw the line.

If it's face to face well I don't say anything, if people ask me about my parents, my answers are short simple, no details then it's hard for them to ask the next or deeper question.

In other words I have blocked them.

I will try to keep my comment as short as possible but there is alot to say to make you understand better.

(THIS IS ONLY AN EXAMPLE) would you go around telling everyone around you, & at work, church, neighbours, school, college that your mum/dad stool you from your real parents? or your mother killed your father when you was a kid & is in jail?.

Only 4 people know about my parents, I know about 60 people...

If your story is based on grieving (private person or not), any human being would have to let it out later or soon.

I've only told 1person about when I was grieving & this was 7years ago.

My story can actually help others, & help them be stronger.

Being too open or closed up can cause very bad consequences.

NicoleBradburn I understand but not really appropriate for LD. Your initial topic was about friends being too personal and nosy. True friends would know all about me otherwise they are acquaintances. My best friend has been so for 35 years.

Maybe you should think of one special friend you can open up to or maybe get some counselling, as I agree it is often easier to talk to a stranger.

I sense you need to unburden from your posts but sadly we cannot talk on here, just write a few words.

You was saying I can't be a personal person, because of my comment on lastest deal, so I went into alittle more details to make to understand that even a private person opens up differently but that doesn't stop them being private...

Lastest deal would let me known straight away & deleted my comments & question, if it was inappropriate.

(I think this is more of your opinion) because to me (& maybe to lastest deals) my comment is helping others.

I don't think it is a problem because of questions & comments I've seen on here ... Anyway... they'll let me know if it's a problem, so don't worry about that👍
