What Smells Pleasant but Isn't Perfume?

Roast beef dinner . Homemade cakes.

New car interior.

- Quality roasted chicken (you probably won't find it in the U.K. unless you're willing to pay £10-15+ for it while it's a lot cheaper overseas, around £4~£5+)

- Gasoline (I know this is a weird one, but some guys like it and I always liked it ever since I was a kid)

- Burning wood

- Fresh wood chopped up (smells really pleasant)

- New electrical out of the box (that smell of newness is kinda nice)

- Jamón chips

- Chloramines (swimming pool smell)

Those are some of my favorites.

A new puppy, I remember sniffing our dog loads when we got him

I love it when I have left over lemon and place it in the microwave with a little water, makes the whole kitchen smell fresh.

Surprised no one has mentioned fresh baked bread, love eating it slightly warm with lashings of butter.

The Yankee candles I have, smell so lovely and keep my flat smelling nice.

My mum's fruit pies sadly due to arthritis she no longer bakes them

I love the smell of certain coffees but can not stand the taste of a cup of coffee although I do love a coffee chocolate.

yankee candles they do the best fragrances ever i really love the variety they offer these days.

Food

Mum's skin. When I was a kid I used to like sniffing her forearms, and as an adult once in a blue moon I do it to make her giggle.

That and cinnamon dusted soft pretzels cooked in a shopping centre like at Lakeside, that kiosk underneath an escalator.

The smell of oils in your garden shed

I'd also agree with Melissa. Bacon coffee grass good shout. Sunday dinner at your nanas growing up . That's a comfort smell .

The tarmac when it rains on a hot day

Fresh strong Garlic is my fav, but the smell of bacon gets me every time - even though as a vegetarian I no longer eat or want to eat bacon!

Vanilla or fruit smells great but I also oddly find wet dog smell comforting that may just be I like the dog tho lmao

My wife bakes a cake usually a fruit cake or coffee cake every Sunday makes the home smell good also she burns a lot of candles

The smell of processed star anise wafting in the air from local spice processors.
