martina65 I gave nothing and received nothing. (no Dad and I'm female). My OH received a huge box of fruit and veg which was brilliant feed us for next 7 - 10 days. Can I ask why you feel the need to give more gifts next year?

lilyflower great hope you enjoyed the box of fruits and veg. I feel like I need to get more gifts as at the time I went shopping for gifts not many shops were open so I only was able to get a few things from Poundland and some sweets from Morrison’s

martina65 It's not the quantity of gifts but the gift itself. My OH was thrilled at his gift, in the past he's had sweets/chocolate/enough mugs to open a shop/tee-shirts that don't fit etc, this gift was useful and ticked all the boxes, total value £10. He's hoping to get the same for his birthday.

Strange last night 32 minutes before midnight you were looking for a last minute father's day gift. No reply to either myself or angemski comment

I hadn't realised they'd posted a request last night asking for ideas, but today says they've purchased as many gifts as usual. Does this mean a) they never buy gifts, b) point hunting.

My partner got a personalised card from our dogs and one from our bump, a box of his favourite chocolates and he got a football shirt from his son.. we got my father-in-law a hamper of all his favourite things... my dad (who is a terrible excuse for a father) got sent a free e-card 🤣

My sons got their dad a card each, a new top, a gift card & chocolates. They all spent the day together watching films & I treated us all to a take away in the evening. ( Our first take away since lockdown) 😋. My own dad is no longer sadly with us.

I reminded my husband to send his father a card. He got online immediately and chose a personalised card. What he didn’t hear was that Fathers Day is June and I reminded him in May so it arrived 3 weeks early.
