Government Wants Radiator Heat in Homes Lowered

In the News

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/04/04/home-radiators-will-have-ten-degrees-cooler-britain-reach-net/

So the government wants all radiator temperatures in peoples homes reduced by 10% to meet climate change regulations and the homeowners to foot the cost of installing heat pumps instead of boilers, at the same time as doing away with insulation grants !!

What world do they live in ?

The problem is they want to take away the option of making it higher and everyone to start replacing their boilers with heat pumps despite the extra costs and problems

Its like electric vehicles, they are supposed to be less polluting , granted there are no fumes coming out of the exhausts but there are other pollutents and battery disposal issues as well as continual manufacturing of the batteries as they only last so long

Maybe these issues will be resolved in the future but not at the present time

Heres an independant article showing what the comparison is and the conclusion

I did see other articles supporting electric vehicles but at the end they were promoting the vehicles to sell

Kill everybody off through hypothermia, what a good idea. Have they any idea what 'heat pumps' involve (probably looked at by someone with loads of money and lots of space). Air heat pumps can be noisy and require electricity to run and aren't as efficient below 0 degrees. Ground heat pumps take up all the garden and are very expensive to install. What are the plans if you live in a property with no outside space?
