Halloween Pumpkins

Hello everyone!
What has everybody done with the halloween pumpkins after use? As Im sure we could use in ways that would prevent food waste!
I googled the same question yesterday. So separated the seeds when we carved them and have dried them for the birds. The guts went into the compost bin and I read that wildlife will eat the pumpkins if you leave them out (no idea if they will or not but thought I'd give it a try).

ebzy I never thought of dessert, it looks delicious. I hope the bird like the seeds I spent ages seperating them 
I have made soups and pie In the past, not too keen, I will put it in the garden for the animals to eat.
How strange that I had an email today and upon opening found this recipe for pumpkin cake.
I made pumpkin soup today. And the ones we carved I will cut up and put on corner of garden for the birds and squirrels
I love pumpkin seeds, great for snacks or just added to homemade bread.
We made pumpkin soup before, not a huge fan but it was much nice with a hint of chilli.
If you do put the pumpkin out for pumpkins, please put them up high, which helps discourage rats, but they can climb! and away from hedgehogs, as it can cause diarrhoea which can badly dehydrate them and make them very unwell.
