Heated Clothes Airer?
Ask a Question
Hi everyone
I have been considering getting a heated airer for some time now. I am wondering which are best and how much electric they actually use
We have one from Lakeland and it is fantastic. It depends which one you get as to how much in electric but it is about 3p an hour.
MrsCraig Two friends of mine have different ones - one cheap (under £30) and one (under £90). Both told me they are all a waste of money. You spend so much time turning over the various clothing made up of different materials, that both got themselves tumble dryers. Problem solved. For me the local launderette. I spend £5 yesterday and it was worth every penny. Everything sorted out to be ironed or packed away yesterday.
Lakeland deluxe heated dryer with cover. You need the cover. It's absolutely brilliant. We have 2. Don't need a tumble dryer because of them. We wash 5 loads per week. More in the summer but they are on the line then
My neighbour uses the dri-buddy with a cover and says it's great, we have a de humidifier and find that works good for us.
We've got the Lakeland deluxe 3 tier & it's better than I expected. I rarely use the cover & still works great. I'd reccomend.
I purchased one for my caravan, when I had it, it was £50. Worked brilliantly in the caravan. I used it the other day at home and seemed to take ages to dry anything. I think best way is lay things on it and not hang. Plus once the clothes are laying flat bring the two heated sides over and lay them on top of clothes.
I bought one from Argos when the weather started to turn… returned it the following day. Absolute waste of money. My washing dries quicker on a normal airer with a fan facing towards it!
