Help with Yi Home Camera
Ask a Question
Good afternoon all has anyone had any use of putting their yi home camera on Amazon fire or Amazon devices. There isn’t a app available like for android or iOS
It appears that nowadays apps are only available to connect things if you have a reasonably newish smartphone. I don't have one and can't (despite hours of trying) find any way to use smart plugs with my Amazon Echo devices.
Are you, by chance, being asked to downoad a TAPO app? And/Or getting "This app is not available for your device" when trying to find one?
davidstockport thank you on Amazon device it’s not even showing the app it’s available on iOS and android. I don’t really won’t to down load third party app. Apparently available on the echo shows but surely would be available on any Alexa devices
Don't you have to sideload such apps on an Amazon device. They are basically just android devices anyway with a modified android operating system. There are lots of guides on youtube how to sideload apps. I had an Amazon tablet in the past I don't remember it being too difficult to side load apps but that may have changed.
Ann1984 If I remember rightly you just had to sideload the playstore app and then you could just install what you want but if that is no longer possible you might have to load the apk you want from an apk site and sideload that directly.
BonzoBanana I came across a tictok video not on yi but cinema movies you seem to know your stuff do I need a vpn to watch them
Ann1984 If you are watching pirate movies or content on the internet a VPN is probably highly recommended. If you are watching such videos through a browser then Opera has a browser with a built in free VPN to give you a hassle free and safe way of watching such videos. I don't really use tiktok myself but see they have a browser version which I assume could be used with Opera.
I have just seen this article in the Metro, Man faces paying £100,000 to neighbour because smart doorbell caused ‘harassment’
Can't believe that his neighbour won
