Do You Have Many Houseplants ?
Ask a Question
It's become a new hobby of mine during quarantine. I only had a few succulents and cacti, now I'm the proud owner of several lovely plants and they're doing well so farWhich houseplants do you have?
No houseplants as for some reason they always die, strange as a have a garden full of beautiful trees, shrubs,Lilly’s, hydrangeas and all sorts of other flowers and a green house which I just put up during lockdown with tomatoes and a few other things which are all doing well.
I have a geranium in a tub with rosemary in kitchen and that's my limit.
I'm not good with plants. I once managed to kill an oxygen plant
Windowsills full of them , mainly cacti and succulents but also orchids, ferns and lilies . Started by buying a few at the beginning of lockdown and they've bred like rabbits !
Well I've bred them , just cut off a leaf or stem and stick it in watered compost / gravel mix 3 or 4 to a pot and wait (over 50% have taken).
Now run out of window sills so have a couple of racks on the patio . Once my tomatoes ,chillies and cucumbers are finished in the greenhouse I'll have to put them in there for the winter as no room left in the house!
To think some folks have artificial plants !!
My succulents are everywhere too. Some moved to the garden a couple years ago and are thriving. They change colour in the sun too so some are red now which is lovely
G0501 Only started doing succulents during the lockdown , they virtually self propagate and come in so many different forms (and seem very hard to kill !) .
Apparently they are good for cleaning your inside air too , how they know that I haven't a clue !
I would like to have houseplants but somebody told me some of them take the oxygen out the air and I would always forget to water them
I would love to have more but all the time someone buys me a plant it dies quickly so will need to learn how to look after them
I googled a lot and started a notebook with instructions and put an app that reminds me to feed, water, mist them
You could have hanging ones, they wouldn't be able to reach them I made a jute macramé the other day for my hoya plant
