Iceland Unveils Marmite Sprouts. Yay or Nay?
News
Iceland have revealed that they will be selling MARMITE SPROUTS.
I’ve never actually tasted Marmite but I don’t get a good feeling about it nonetheless.
Would you eat these?
I like sprouts but I’ve never tasted Marmite, so I’m not sure how it would taste, but I just don’t like the sound of it!
I like Marmite and sprouts, so would like to try them. Although, I have a big jar of Marmite at home, would it not be cheaper to make this myself
Oh. I’ve never tried Marmite! And yes it would be easier and cheaper for you to just make it yourself
Not keen on frozen sprouts but would definitely try making it myself with fresh sprouts ... sounds tasty.
Yes same here. I’ve only ever had fresh sprouts. And I’ve never tasted Marmite so I don’t think I’d ever try this!
ayy123 If you try Marmite don't (as many do) use too much, a little goes a long way.
Why would anybody think that spoiling the taste of sprouts with yukky marmite is a good idea never mind a marketable idea? I dread to think what ideas they discarded....
Sprouts aren't that bad. I'm a fan of marmite. I'm just curious about how they might taste.. Might have to try them and find out.
Those who dislike Marmite are usually the people who've spread it too thickly, I haven't tried Marmite with sprouts YET. But will try the combination - just as how I tried marmalade on gammon, which also sounded a strange combination, but which I and everyone else I've told about it have grown to love.
I've not tried "kippers and custard" yet
Half an hour later: I've just tried Marmite with sprouts. I rubbed some Marmite on them before boiling them in a little water. There wasn't much difference presumably because most of the Marmite went into the water, so I tried putting a little Marmite on the cooked sprouts. I will be putting Marmite on cooked sprouts in the future.
