Indiana Jones Being a Woman after the 5th Film.
Ask a Question
Rumour has itIndiana Jones to become a woman at the end of the 5th film .Insanity or makes sense with Harrison Ford not going to do any more after the 5th film ?
Shall we leave them alone and remember Indiana Jones being a male archaeologist or should we have a female James Bond a male Lara Croft or Wonderwoman being male .
Where does it end and I'd love to know your views.
I predicted this when Indiana Jones 5 was announced (www.latestdeals.co.uk/chat/indiana-jones-fleabag). It's following the current trend. But, it wouldn't really be an Indiana Jones film. Just another related story happening within the same film universe. I don't really care who stars in a film. I just want to see films I enjoy. Unfortunately, I don't expect Indiana Jones 5 or any related film beyond that to be very good. Now that Hollywood is so focused on box office returns there is little room for risks and originality.
Although, there is a good chance 'Indiana Jones 6' may never happen. The 5th film would need to be successful. Plus, female led reboots of popular films have generally not been well received and have under performed at the box office, for example Ghostbusters (2016) and Ocean's 8 (2018). Yesterday, it was announced Disney were no longer going to make Margot Robbie's female-led 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film.
Indiana Joan, Jayne Bond and Larry Croft would be fine with me, If they had a decent plot.
Howmuch "Larry Croft"
That already exists, it's either Indiana Jones or Uncharted (the game series, not that crappy movie they made).
Absolutely ridiculous. The part wasn't written for a woman. I wish they would stop playing with old favourites....
I think it's a bad move to have a female Indiana Jones, leave him as he is. I have less of a problem having a spin off of a similar thing with the main lead being female but feel it should be a different character, a love interest or family member or something. But really I think Indiana Jones has done it's time regardless, all the movies.l so far have been great and we don't really need another (there have only been 3 movies. don't tell me otherwise).
My view is that it is part of the woke world we live in. I would hazard a guess that the majority would not like the idea but it seems minority rules these days.
Slightly different subject but my blood pressure nearly went off the scale recently when a teacher affectionately touched a pre school child's face and said 'oooh you are such a gorgeous little bo............er person'
The fourth movie was pretty awful, I just hope the fifth isn't even worse than that. Harrison Ford will be pretty old, but I'll watch for him.
And gender swapping Indiana? Make a new film series! This never ends well. Look at their gender swapped movies.
