Jigsaw Jubilation!
Other
Don't often go into town but had a medical appointment so, with 2 hours paid parking, decided to have a wander around. First stop W.H.Smith's where I found a huge assortment of jigsaws all at half price so bought 2. Treated myself to a £1.99 Big Mac and fries (once in a blue moon) with some coupons that had come through the letterbox.
Icing on the cake: spent £2 on tickets in a shop doing a Tom bowler and won a Rachael Allen cook book and a little Scottish dolly. Morning well spent i think. If you like jigsaws get down to WHS.
Sounds like you had a fab day! Well done on the win. I love jigsaw so I'll pop by WHS ASAP
Love Ravensburger jigsaws, very fussy and quirky ones like the bookshop and gardeners shed and mariners shed etc. I also love to do choc box cottage scenes, as long as not too much sky or grass lol.
Hi lynibis sounds like you had a great day with your bargains. I to love to do jigsaws. But I do not have a whsmith's near me. Not sure if they are on line.
Hi Nicola, they are online but I just checked the jigsaws and they are all full price. Must have been a bargain or offer in my local store only.
Hi Lynibis thank you every so much for checking. In joy doing your jigsaw when you get around to it. Dos it take you long.
nicolajaynehend not really, but that is because everything else goes to pot when I start a jigsaw lol. But of course I have to work and sleep so I generally do one in 3 days.
Hi Lynibis 3 days that's very quick. It takes me 6 to 12 weeks. On and off. But I do in joy doing them. It's very rest full. At the Mont I am doing a lovely seaside one. And I am thinking of gluing it and framing it.
