Just for Fun: What Are Your Fears?
Other
I am terrified of mice and rats! The rest don’t bother me. My husband hates slugs
I wouldnt want any of them in my house. Cant say I am scared of any of them- although a spider that big maybe I am!
didbygraham I once found a huge spider in a bunch of bananas. A sac burst and the next thing there were many little spiders also! I had to get them in a big bowl and cover it with cling film. Environmental health cane and took it away
Good topic scary too I am scared of snakes and after writing here this news will go far I am sure i hope you’re fine dear take care have a lovely evening
Jasmine111 I’m not getting any notifications so am missing chat. I have never come across a snake in the wild. I don’t think I’d be too keen!
gerrykelly25 O dear must be something wrong will tag you’re tomorrow in David topic I seen a lot snakes too
When I came home from my jollies at the weekend I sat down on my bed and plumped my pillow like I always do. Omg the biggest god damn spider I have ever seen in my house ran out from under the pillow. I nearly myself. safe to say I was off that bed and out of the room as fast as I could move refusing to get into that bed until it was found. I took refuge in the spare room until my poor other half spent 20 minutes in the room hunting it down until he found it. Needless to say it’s a spider no more. I’m not normally scared of spiders but the thought of it being in my bed ( and the size of it ) well that’s a different story.
heatherduthie it’s a good job you came back when you did or he could have moved the whole family in!
gerrykelly25 omg perish the thought. Yesterday the unit our bed slots into was moved and cleaned out along with inside the cupboards. I was taking no chances whatsoever.
Until this year I've handled most of the above, and worse, and not really been bothered. I'm chief spider catcher in our family. BUT.... with all the councils embracing the 'meadow revolution' I've become very wary of adders and now take the longest route around.
sunny101 have you seen one? I believe they are on the increase but haven’t seen one myself
gerrykelly25 No I haven't but that doesn't mean they're not there. They've been spotted all around the country this year because of the tall grassy areas. (even replying to this made me shiver)
sunny101 I wonder if there are any in Ireland as St Patrick chased away all the snakes?
gerrykelly25 I doubt it, very much. I suppose you must have a few in the zoos though.
You are a brave woman! I would run if I saw a rat or mouse. The rest don’t really bother me
I'm scared of most of these except for the frog/toad as I think they're cute and weirdly sometimes I find rats to be cute aswell...but from a distance!
My kids want me to buy 6, so then I would have to buy 9 and 8 to feed it! But secretly I would be hoping it managed to catch and 3’s in the house I absolutely hate them
gerrykelly25 about £50 for the gecko, then the vivarium cost. Looking into it, I found they need quite a large enclosure for their size. So where on earth would a 4 foot long viv go?? I think I will not mention it and see if they forget about the whole thing!
If it's what's in this country then the only one I'd be cautious of is the snake, the rest I can handle.
Rats, moths and spiders all make me shriek or freeze on the spot in fear.
I am not really scared of the others, though I still wouldn't want any of them in the house.
Love most animals including snakes, rats, spiders but the thought of slugs just put me off, specially the green and orange ones.
My husband is with you on that one. He hates them. We had loads in our last home and they would all come out when it rained heavily. I would have to move them off the drive before he’d leave the house!
I use to be petrified of spiders so my so I'd scream . I still don't like them but not to that extent.
I think rats. I have thoughts that they enter in my flat and I am alert every time I walk close a a big rubbish bin
Spider!!! Absolutely petrified. Not keen on snakes either. Everything else I’m ok with but they would give me a shiver
My daughter hates anything that flaps, including birds. As for getting older, I’m not keen, but I suppose it happens to us all!
out of those on the list just snakes a little but even then i can hold them, not many animals scare me at all.
