I think it’s really sad that he’s now gone and I like Kate and they have really been through it. I hope they find peace but the bbc just never stops going on and on. I know it’s a top story but how about some sensitivity? They were not the only ones after all. It happened to a lot of people.

I think it's sad that he's passed but I can't help think that kate was a bit like Katie price using it to her advantage sorry just my opinion

Sad isn't it. The blessing is he isn't suffering now nor do the kids have to watch him suffer. Its awful. I'm not being unkind. It's traumatic to watch someone suffer especially for kids to see it

Jerseydrew I completely understand where you are coming from. The real Derek died four years ago and the family has really suffered for four years. All diseases are cruel. Kate and her family stuck together and supported Derek to the best of their abilities and loved and cared for him. That in itself is an amazing family.

I saw the story on the news last night, many people were praising him concerning his involvement in politics, he was an English political lobbyist and psychotherapist, a very intelligent man , such a shame RIP

When they spoke about him it sounded really negative. He was a lobbyist behind cash for questions basically and he ran a company creating false rumours against political opponents. He sounded like a really horrible individual with little morality. I know that is not what you would normally write about someone who has passed away but still he really didn't sound like a nice person at all unfortunately.
