KitchenAid Worth The Investment?

Ask a Question

I am quite a keen baker and have wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer for years and have seen a few deals lately on ebay and wondered if they are worth the investment or if you just pay for the brand? Any comparable dupe suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

My mother in law is a professionally trained chef and baker (although she no longer works as one) and is constantly baking. She swears by kenwood mixers. She has tried loads of brands over the years and she still says it is the best. She needs a new one so we are all clubbing together to get her one for Christmas.

I have a kenwood kmix and love it. I've borrowed a kitchen aid before and it's not worth the price difference unless it's for cosmetic purposes. The kenwood isn't ugly but the kitchen aid looks nicer.

thank you MrsCraig and ClaireF1978 have just seen some unsubtle product placement by a well known chef for the kenwood but must confess I didnt research it so will do now. Yes the kitchenAids are very pretty I should stop falling for good looks 😊 Thanks again for the advice.

OneeyedRaven there's nothing wrong with falling for looks if it makes you happy and you've wanted one for years. I don't bake all that much, maybe once or twice a month maximum so I couldn't really justify it.
