KitKat Finally Releasing a Matcha Green-Tea Bar in the UK

Other

There are lots of weird and wonderful flavours of Kitkats in Japan. They also have lots of limited edition bars, exclusive regional varieties and even KitKat shops.

Various matcha flavours have been available for years in Japan and some specialist shops in the UK import them, but you do have to pay a premium to get them. For matcha fans the UK version will be available later this month.

I wont be trying it here. I’ve tried it abroad already and It’s not great - I like matcha but the grade or quality they use for kit Kat is not good.

I like the Japanese versions I've tried. The recipe for the UK bar will be different, I believe this means it will have a stronger matcha flavour 🍵

ACR it’ll probably taste more artificial, as the grade they will be using won’t be as great as what you’d get in Japan. Great matcha is very, very expensive

They only need to increase the level of cocoa content in their bars.....

Most of their products are horrible in taste

I am not a fan of matcha so I won't be trying it. I love kitkats and kitkat chunky, especially the white chocolate ones, but matcha just doesn't appeal to me.
