I Know Not All Youngsters Are like This but.......
Other
I just popped in to Iceland for a couple of bits after having to go out for my diabetic eye check. I was standing by a freezer as a young assistant brushed past banging my basket in to my leg, then as I reached up to the shelf above he lifted the lid of the freezer and banged it into my upper arm! Neither time did he say sorry or excuse me, he shouldn't have even come that close.
Pathetic chat topic but living alone you guys are my go to for a good moan lol.
On the plus side the eye screener guy was lovely and we had a nice chat while waiting for the eye drops to take effect
He most likely wasn't brought up with good manners and to respect his elders. Either that or he just couldn't care less.
Not pathetic at all, you have every right to get it out into the open. That is what we are all here for.
It shouldn't be respect elders it should be respect other. Some elders dont deserve respect and seem to think they are superior because they are the older generation.
I've noticed its all ages are becoming disrespectful and impatient. I went out yesterday to get my wife some medication and this couple went into a right huff because I made them move to one side of the aisle and they weren't able to slowly walk down the aisle looking at both sides.
I’ve found during recent times that pensioners don’t give you space and stretch over you in supermarkets to get what they want. No social distancing whatsoever. Some of them seem to think they have lived through everything and its not a big deal.
heatherduthie It depends on where I go buts it all ages for me who dont give a ****.
Getsome I totally agree with you. This is just an example that I have noticed in the supermarket.
Yeah, i saw a guy about mid-60's in town a few weeks back, when we had that mini-heatwave, he was stood there just shouting hello to folk he knew, no mask on or gloves or anything, then shaking hands with them,
chatting away as though a pandemic wasn't happening! And they were reciprocating- all older folk who should have more sense! heatherduthie
Caz2 I think a lot of them think they have been through everything in their lifetime and it just won’t affect them
He could have done it by accident and was too scared to say sorry not an excuse for the kid. If he kept his head down maybe was ashamed to look at you in case you give him a telling off.
Yes some kids do it for fun my eldest has mute syndrome where he won’t talk to people he don’t know hes getting better as older but struggled socially most his life.
I think to do it once could be classed as an accident, twice though he really needs to watch what he's doing.
Some people are just oblivious to others around them and that goes for age groups. Maybe you should have muttered a little ouch to wake him up.
