Did You Know Sleeping in the Wrong Position Can Give You Nightmares ?

Ask a Question

We all have our own ways of sleeping . on our sides, back or stomach for some

But did you know there is one position that you sleep that can give you nightmares?

It turns out from this researcher that sleeping on your left side leaves you prone to having nighmares

Apparently it is because you are putting pressure and stress on the heart leading to a poorer quality of sleep , hence the bad dreams

So sleeping on the back is out of the question because you snore louder.

Sleeping on your stomach can lead to pain in the spine, neck, and back over time.

The left side cause nighmares, so that just leaves the right side

A 2018 study linked sleeping on the right side to decreased heart pressure because it allows more space in the chest cavity

So when you are tossing and turning in your pit, think right, sleep tight !

Best stay up all night again then lol. I start on the right, switch to the left and the alternate all night between toilet stops and letting the cat out.

MelissaLee1 I suppose by the time you stop worrying about which side you are sleeping on M it would be daylight , then you might as well give sleep a miss

I sleep mostly on my right as it means I’m facing towards the window and the air coming in as I get very hot at night. Plus it is the furthest away I can get from my husbands snoring!
