Lidl Trainers for £450?

In the News

https://www.ladbible.com/news/viral-people-are-selling-15-lidl-trainers-for-500-20200630

the cheap £14 trainers are are not available in the uk, so some people are peddling them on eBay at inflated prices - which of course they’re allowed to do, but who is going to pay those prices?

not for me, thanks. I don’t think I’d even pay £14 for them

What do you think of this?

they have a retro appeal to them, but I don't think I would buy anything like that, definitely not with the Lidl branding on it

I would struggle to pay more than £20 for any pair trainers! (I wouldn't buy those colours at any price).

Do we assume that people are buying them for that price and that it is not just people being presumptuous asking for that ridiculous price with no takers? 🐞

I cant imagine anyone who would willingly part with that sum of money for those trainers...but then again, when there was a kfc chicken crisis, someone paid £99 for a bucket of chicken. Crazy people!

hspexy You have got to be joking, £99 for a bucket of chicken! I wouldn't pay 1p for anything from KFC. (I knew someone who worked there!) 🐞

tumblespots Ooo! I do like a bit of KFC every so often.

Got the 9 piece deal for £5.99 on Tuesday.

It was pretty good tbh, except for one scabby bit at the bottom of the bucket.

Some people obviously have too much money. The shoes were probably mass produced and Lidl could release thousands more at any time in the future. You'd be better off trying to buy a pair of adidas Yeezy trainers on release date to resell in the future if you want to make a bit of money.

They are absolutely horrible! Who in their right mind would pay £14 for these, let alone over £400? There's so many offers on the top brands if you keep looking, and they would look stylish too.

£400 is ridiculous, but £14 is not too bad and quite funny.

Omg would any sane person spend £450 on a pair of trainers. I mean, I would understand if they were designer or limited edition, rare etc. But £450 for a pair of Lidl trainers? 😂

Everything is possible if the prices are not regulated. I saw eggs on ebay when we could not buy them and someone was selling them in the local area like they made of gold.

I just do not believe Pandemic even made the chicken lay less eggs, also do not think so people bought so many of them.

£450 for trainers. Yes some people pay as much, but not for a Lidl one....that is a bit crazy. I would never pay as much, always get ours from the Adidas outlet store with extra voucher code.

That's the price of fashion. You probably get more for your money with these than anything costing that from Vivienne Westwood.

The shoes look nice, the logo not really. Unstitch the logo and off you go!

That’s definitely the thing that needs to go - not sure I want to show off that I’m wearing trainers by Lidl 😂

I'm amazed at the heavily inflated prices so people try to sell things for on Ebay. Some try to sell used things for more than they cost new
