Looking to Buy a PS4? Wait a Bit Longer.
Other
Despite that PS5 has been released, the prices on the used market for PS4 haven't really dropped much so you might as well just be patient a bit more if you've waited this long.
Well, there are listings of PS4 consoles without the controllers for less than £100 so you could make do with that, and buy a controller separately for £25-35. The games themselves have become rather cheap (used).
Should be a glut of used PS4's on the market after Christmas which should drive down prices. Many PS5's being bought now are for Christmas presents. I have a PS4 and for a few years I thought about getting a PS4 Pro but there never seemed to be any games that really justified the upgrade and certainly there are no PS5 games yet that have me really excited. I'm hoping for a price war between PS5 and Xbox Series X to drive down prices and by then some decent games I want will have come out.
PhilipMarc Also the very first editions of the PS5 will likely have reduced reliability which is typical of most electronic products, they will improve the manufacturing process over time and also feedback from early failures will be incorporated in small re-designs of parts. It probably makes sense to wait a couple of months anyway.
The PS5 is too big for me anyway I'm not sure I have a space for it. I have a small house and my TV is in one corner with limited space around it. I might have to wait for a slim PS5 if I get one.
