I agree, in fact I think the whole system should be scrapped and replaced with one prestigious award for those who serve their fellow man and communities, not for playing sport. Most are self serving folk who do nothing to justify receiving an honour.

Apparently she a big name lol these honours are a joke, and only help the rich and powerful, totally bent

Another deeply disturbing societal way of worshipping (undeserving ) people by allowing them a certain titled status. Nonsense.

At least she has done something productive and is inspiring the next generation of women. Some of the people who get these kind of awards have done nothing but like their own pockets

I have absolutely no idea who she is and nor do I care. Whenever the honours list comes out I have no idea who 90% of the people are. If they want to give them an award then let them, it doesn't affect me or my everyday life.

I don't think any should go to famous people, for the most part they are getting very well paid to do something they love.

I guess the only exception being if they do a lot of good for charity.

It's much more heart warming and worthy when local heroes are recognised.

Time more local heroes were mentioned like Sheffield's local hero John Burkhill, The Man With The Pram,out in all weather's, 84 years young,a humble man who was out at 8am on Christmas Day walking from Chesterfield Hospital to Sheffield..John is a hero to soo many, never ignores you,loved by everyone from our Steel City & beyond!
