Migrants Survive 14 Days on Ships Rudder by Drinking Sea Water

When you see and hear stories about desperation with migrants crossing the channel in small boats , you think that is either a brave or foolish thing to do

But having read this article it beggars belief

Four nigerian migrants wanting to escape hardship, political instability and crime had set up netting around a ships rudder to which they strapped themselves and survived a 14 day journey of 3,500 miles from their home to Brasil

They ran out of food and water after 10 days so resorted to drinking salty sea water which alone could have killed them

But things got worse, they thought they were being taken to Europe but ended up in Brasil , but they have applied for asylum there nonetheless

Brazil will probably send them straight back and not put them up in 4 star hotels like they are doing with migrants around here.

telmel Not in a bloody 4 star hotel though.

The locals are going nuts around here because some can't afford to live properly and these lot are given everything on a plate. And then they moan that they haven't got enough TVs between them.

telmel I know it might sound harsh, but they should be sent back to the first safe country that they travelled to instead of being allowed to come to the sucker UK. We really are the dustbin of the world and it's our own fault.

TheChimp how do we know they are moaning though? Most people never speak to immigrants so who exactly has found out they are unhappy with their living situation I wonder.

telmel I saw the photos of those four men in The Metro newspaper and none of them appeared to be in distressed. They are all lying they had no food or water. They are all trying their luck just to see how far they can go and then inform their families and friends to try their luck as well.

Pjran hell no there not one near us is on Hunger strike because he doesn't like the hotel there in and they want a house they say they don't get food but the hotel is given them 3 meals a day and they get some sort of benefits but that not good enough my answer is don't like it next plane back will be book funny how we have doubled in food banks people are homeless and they're moaning what a joke

Huh, Brazil? That's a surprise.

They usually target America, Canada, England, or another European country.

Currently, Portugal seems to be allowing anyone in due to the pope and it's the World Youth Day so illegal immigrants will probably move around since they're already safely in the West. Uncontrolled immigration is dangerous as you don't know who you're letting in and what they've done or what have you.
