How Modern is Your House?

How modern is your house? Do you have it kitted out with high tech devices like smart meters, bulbs, all voice controlled or remotely activated?
A carved stone in the wall says 1767. I have modernised slightly, electricity and running water
How wonderful to live in a house with so much history. I would be very tempted to research the history of the house if I lived there.
ShirleyRevill I am very lucky but everyone's home is special to them. A house is just a house, it's the people in it that make it a home.
Although I wish my house was kitted out with all the latest gadgets im stuck in the dark ages. Think it's an age thing.
I'm practically in the dark ages. No smartphone, smart tv, blue ray, amazon echo etc. I like it retro like my 1965 atomic retro oval coffee table. My heating doesn't work either.
It's modern I guess in terms of it being built in about 1988 ish. I wish it was an older house though. Thicker walls and more character. I wouldn't have to listen to my neighbours all the time.
Our home is not high tech but would love to experience some of these gadgets. Love the idea of turning lights on remotely but hate these roaming vacuum cleaners.
We rent and this house have smart meter and it is really good, because we can control the temperature in each room and cut down on energy use.
I live in a old lovely farm house. They start to build the house in 1930 and finish it in 1939. Out Side we got the family's hand prints and date. So the house is over 80 years old. Lovely big rooms. And I've got a very very big bathroom. And I love living in it.
