Who has 0 motivation on Mondays? Or is it just me... Write your favourite motivational quote below
If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got - get up and slay today!!
The harder you work for something, the greater you'll feel when you achieve it and great things never come from comfort zones.
I'm listening to Kevin Harts new audiobook, great to form a better mindset,I've started running recently and just completed my first half marathon x
I can't, inspirational quotes with a totally random irrelevant picture just annoy me. Inspiration and motivation come from within!
βYou canβt calm the storm so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself and the storm will pass.β
βFor the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: βIf today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?β And whenever the answer has been βNoβ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.β
Steve Jobs
I wonder if he came up with that before or after making more money than he could ever spend.
I have no motivation whatsoever any more. After being indoors alone for so long I often find myself struggling to know what day it is until I look at my phone.
I can't be bothered finishing projects and just sit around watching the box, eating, reading. This has only started in last 3 days.
Hi Johnny. You may remember my friend and I had a Scottish break booked in April which was cancelled but I am hoping the one at Warners will go ahead at end of August, although we won't go if it doesn't seem safe.
I am not really bothered either way but am longing to see my family, and go stay with my sister in Wiltshire. She lives in a group of 4 cottages in the middle of a huge field and a paddock with horses, up an unmade road. A week there will sort me out! .
Thank you for being kind Johnny.
Right that's me sorted,. Your sister's place it is! Sounds idyllic.
I have a friend in the Cotwolds with a similar set up. She was one of my first flatmates and is now one of my oldest friends
I've had a couple of lazy weekends in a pub in Marlborough. Lovely people in Wiltshire.
I really fancy exploring Yorkshire too. I don't think I've ever been there, other than on a motorway perhaps.
I was looking forward to going to my nephew's wedding near Hay On Wye in May, but of course that got postponed too. I just hope the hotel I booked survives.
I think part of the fun of breaks is in the planning, booking and looking forward to...
You're one up on me with your Warners break - I've got zippo planned right now.
Risky to even mention castles these days Lyn!
Johnny you've started something now! Hay....the little town of books. I have yearned to go to the Hay Festival (literary) but every year work or other commitments get in the way. Plus solo travel across the country daunts me a bit. I believe there are two Norman castles nearby and I first heard of Hay when I read Barbara Erskine's book The Lady of Hay. She was hung out in a cage from the castle walls. The book jumps from past to present throughout and the modern heroine visits Hay as she keeps slipping into her past life as the lady of Hay.
Johnny lol well lucky for me, due to isolation, there is no one to carry out the punishment!
Actually today I am going in the garden, as I think it is going to be cooler, and do some more work on the fairy garden. For some reason I feel lots better today, but then I have never been one to wallow and I have had my little blip, given myself a stern talking to and will begin to finish projects lol, still eating, reading and watching though.
PS I love Marlborough, sis and I spent a day there last time I visited.
Do you have a job or business? I only ask because I personally signed myself up to business networking on Zoom every Monday morning. It's brought in bugger all business so far but gets me out of bed and feeling productive.
danielleleeox What do you do? I hope you find something better in time if it's the job not giving you that motivation!
Dennab I work in a bank, no no the jobs fine itβs just a struggle to get up on a Monday after a lovely weekend
danielleleeox Oh... There aren't many jobs that will beat a decent weekend in the sun!
This whole quarantine has been quite challenging for everyone. I feel it in the way that I miss the gym so much and working out at home or at the park isn't the same for me. Monday's are a struggle because although the weeks go by quickly I don't have my daily dose of gym. Oh well
Why for Mondays? And was it Monday already? I have to think about the days of the week now, as each day bleeds into another
